Every elevator needs a control switch. But do you really need a wireless remote
with a battery to operate it? Sure, routing a classic cable takes a little more effort
upfront, but it runs reliably for a rider’s lifetime. Naturally, the Elevator Boy isn't
just a perfect match for our Intend Elevator, but works seamlessly with any cable-
actuated dropper post on the market.

Thanks to dual bearings, the lever action is ultra-smooth and completely play-free.
The integrated cable clamp is so cleverly designed that you can engage and
disengage the cable entirely tool-free. No component at the cable end exceeds
5mm in diameter, letting everything slide smoothly through frame ports without
needing to undo a frayed cable end. Existential feature? Certainly not. But for a
passionate mechanic, it’s brilliant.

To be fair, there is one small catch: setup and handling can be a bit fiddly for
inexperienced hands. It’s entirely manageable, but if you have two left thumbs,
you might want to opt for something simpler. Once installed, however, the
Elevator Boy shines with its clean aesthetics, sleek profile, and rock-solid
performance—finished, of course, in that signature Intend Originals look to match
the rest of the lineup.
