Your expert for ergonomic bicycle components and accessories like bike saddle, grips, handle bars and stems.

SQlab utilizes the highest scientific levels for the development of ergonomic bike products.

At SQlab R&D, under the head of Dr. Stefan Staudte (urologist and extreme cyclist), groundbreaking award winning and original products and concepts such as the step saddle design, the saddle fit system and the brand new active technology originate.

Every cyclist is different – and therefore, our bike saddles, bike grips, bike handlebars and bike shoe insoles are all available in different sizes and shapes. Our dealer's sales staff have special knowledge and extensive experience in bike ergonomics and are able to measure your sit bones, check your grip size and foot type. To ride comfortably, efficiently and free of pain, the saddle, handlebar, grips, and in fact, the whole bike, must fit like a good pair of shoes.

SQlab 611 Ergowave

Off road cycling saddle - including moutain bike tech and trail

The 611 ERGOWAVE® saddle was precisely designed to accomodate the requirements of off-road cycling and perfectly meet the demands of All Mountain and Enduro use. The wave-like shape and raised rear section provides perfect rearward support and an optimal pressure distribution which reaches deep into the body structures resulting in improved power transmission. The lowered nose in combination with the dip provides optimal pressure relief for the perineal area. For an even better pressure relief, especially on long technical climbs, the saddle nose of the 611 was made approx. 4 mm wider than that of the 612, but just as flat and with largest possible surface area. The padding was designed for the specific needs on the MTB with better dampening properties than the 612 making it perfect for rough off-road terrain. Additionally, a premium quality Kevlar material protects the saddle in the exposed places. The SQlab active technology allows the saddle to follow the biomechanical motion when pedalling resulting in increased comfort, mobilisation of the spinal discs and reduced pressure to the sitbones.

• Use: Off road cycling including all mountain and enduro
• Step design

SQlab 612 Ergowave Active

Road cycling and cross country mountain biking

The weight optimised 612 ERGOWAVE® active Carbon was specifically designed to accomodate the requirements of both competetive and leisure cyclists both on the road or mountainbike. With 189 g it is the lightest ERGOWAVE® model with active technology. The wave-like shape and raised rear section provides perfect rearward support and an optimal pressure distribution which reaches deep into the body structures resulting in improved power transmission. The lowered nose in combination with the dip provides optimal pressure relief for the perineal area. The flat but slim SQlab MaxContact® saddle nose and the firm padding of the 612 were both specifically designed for the needs on the roadbike. The SQlab active technology allows the saddle to follow the biomechanical motion when pedalling resulting in increased comfort, mobilisation of the spinal discs and reduced pressure to the sitbones.

• Use: Road cycling and cross country mountain biking
• Step design
• Rails: Carbon or S-tube

SQlab 610 ERGOLUX Active

The 610 ERGOLUX® was developed especially for the comfort-oriented mountain biker and the sports-oriented trekking rider. The two-stage wave shape, which has already proven successful in the sporty ERGOWAVE® saddle shape, has been further developed now as a comfort variant under the name ERGOLUX® and is adapted especially to the requirements of the comfort-oriented bike rider. On your multi-hour tours on gravel and asphalt routes, do you emphasize saddle comfort in addition to sporty performance?  Then the 610 ERGOLUX® offers the perfect features.  In comparison to the very streamlined, narrow-cut ERGOWAVE® models, the 610 ERGOLUX®seating surface has been tuned to be slightly larger and somewhat softer.  Despite a sportier look, comfort for the seating bones and the ischial branches has been increased.  The first stage, with a moderate to sporty seating position, provides the perfect grip toward the rear and thereby assures direct transfer of force to the pedals. The second stage accommodates the seating bones, or the ischial branches that bear the load in the sporty seating position, and thus assures the best possible pressure distribution. The lower saddle nose thereby provides pressure relief to the sensitive structures and for the branches of the pubic bones to the same extent in men and women.  The SQlab active-saddle technology lets the saddle follow the pedalling motion as comfort increases, the vertebral discs are mobilized and pressure on the seat bones is minimised. Pain in the lumbar spine, especially on longer tours, can thereby be reduced.  The timeless design fits optimally on any bike.

SQlab 511 Pedals

Clipless pedals available in four different axis lengths.
Conventional clipless pedals force the feet into a virtually parallel position. The longer axle of the SQlab 511 Race clipless pedal allows a physiologically natural foot position. This prevents one sided loads - especially with a calf leg head or fibula head syndrome.
The version with shorter axle is suitable for small shoe sizes and small seatbone distances. The so-called Q-factor can hereby be reduced.

• Use: Road and MTB
• Axle length (mm): -5, standard, +8, +15
• Weight (g) / pair: 310, 322, 341, 367

• Material: Axle: CrMo, Body: Aluminum

SQlab 411 Innerbarends

Innerbarends® are a new innovative evolution of the good old barends we know from the early days of mountainbikes, but with a never-before-seen safety aspect. Despite the different hand position, the brake levers always remain in reach. The position somewhat resembles that of an aerobar. The Innerbarends don’t weigh much, and aren’t in the way, so just give them a try!

Innerbarends® are ideal for mountain bikes including MTB racing, XC, marathon, trail riding, touring, all mountain and also for Enduro where they provide a perfect riding position for recovery on transition stages. They are also suitable for trekking and city bikes.

SQlab 7OX

The grip that fits
The 70x grip offers the perfect handle ergonomics for experts. The gravity and downhill grip offers maximum control and grip in rough terrain, even in wet and muddy conditions. The scope of delivery includes one set of grips.
The special textured zone of the front and bottom side provides optimal support for the fingers in any situation. The exterior side ensures the needed comfort.
The clamp moved from the outside to the inside in the course of the product development and is now only at the first (inner) third. This increases the shock absorption and comfort on the hand’s outer side.
Various rubber compounds ensure a perfect grip level and high comfort. We only use the best possible materials. This guarantees you a long service life and no sticking of the grip rubber.
The personal grip size is what matters. With the 7OX grip, the sizes differ in diameter and shape.

SQlab 710 Grips

The combination of secure grip and comfort was the focus of development of the 710. The preferred area of use is a comfort-oriented mountain bike or a sporty trekking bike. Due to the perfect fit, the bicycle grips cut a good figure in both areas. The scope of delivery includes a set of grips.
This relief wing, which is located at the very edge and deeply extends downwards, frees up space for securely grasping the grip body in all situations. The raised grip end picks up the side of the hand and supports the hand. The inside’s level is higher and thus secures the natural position of the hand. Hence it specifically relieves the ulnar nerve, the median nerve and the carpal tunnel pass.
The Ergobar offers a secure grip for the fingers and optimum support on the front and bottom with a wave-like elevation.
The clamp moved from the outside to the inside in the course of the product development. This increases the shock absorption and comfort on the hand’s outer side. Thus, the SQlab grip series is no longer compatible with twist grips.
Various rubber compounds ensure a perfect grip level and high comfort. We only use the best possible materials. This guarantees you a long service life and no sticking of the grip rubber.
The personal grip size is what matters. With the 710 grip, the sizes differ in diameter, length and shape.
